Pausing, he took his time to consider it before answering. "It's possible. Or it could be that whatever this is, the ABO gene, is no longer necessary and it's being bred out like the human appendix or wisdom teeth. What really keeps me up at night," he couldn't help but smirk a little, "is why is that a link between humans and fae? We've done so much to keep the socio-economic divide and yet it's that part that connects us to each other. Why?"

Realizing that this conversation was going to go no where, he shook his head. "I don't have the answers to that, either. It's all hypothetical. But I can't deny that there's some secret about all of this that has been going on for eons and either we've forgotten what it is, or never bothered to wonder why it's so."
